For more than 13 years, Jobie M. Smith has been a cornerstone of Advanced Cable Connection, Inc. (ACCI), guiding operations with a steady hand and a forward-looking vision. With over two decades of experience in the low-voltage and technology industry, Jobie combines deep technical expertise with a practical, people-first leadership style.

A U.S. Army veteran, Jobie began his career in network operations and engineering before moving into project management and executive leadership. Today, as Vice President of Operations, he oversees ACCI’s day-to-day performance, ensuring every project meets the company’s high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Jobie is a licensed Electrical Specialty (ES) Qualifier with the State of Florida, a BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD), and BICSI Certified Technician (TECH). He also contributes to the industry as a voting member and secretary for the Installer and Technician workgroup of the BICSI Registration and Credentialing Supervision Committee, helping to shape standards and training for the next generation of professionals.

Beyond certifications and credentials, Jobie is passionate about developing people. He’s a strong advocate for closing the industry’s growing skills gap by mentoring apprentices, building training programs, and fostering career paths that give young technicians room to grow. His approach blends discipline with empathy—instilled from both his military background and his belief that good leadership is about building trust and opportunity.
