Overview
The University of South Florida System is a young and agile system that includes three institutions, each separately accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. USF Tampa; USF St. Petersburg; and USF Sarasota-Manatee. Serving more than 50,000 students, the USF System has an annual budget of $1.8 billion and is ranked 25th in the nation for research expenditures among all universities, public or private.
ACCI/DAD is a preferred vendor on the USF campus; due to our strong work ethic, honest and reliable service. ACCI/DAD has been awarded 3 IDIQ contracts with USF, both for Information Transport Systems and for CCTV camera systems. ACCI/DAD is proud to have such a strong partner in the community.
In Late 2016; construction began on a residential dorm project, that the University called “The Village”. The Village is the largest campus housing project in USF History and the largest single housing project ever approved by the Florida Board of Governors.
The project consisted of five residential dorms located in the housing complex; with ACCI/DAD being awarded three of the 5, and all being completed by November 2018.
The Beacon building contains; 637 cables through-out its 6 floors with 3000 feet of single mode and multimode OM-3 backbone cabling to; 3 IDF’s and 1 MDF to support residence rooms, study lounges, laundry facilities, administrative offices, social lounge and gaming room, and over 120 wireless access points.
The Horizon building contains; 862 cables through-out its 6 floors with 5,000 feet of single mode and multimode OM-3 backbone cabling to; 6 IDF’s and 1 MDF to support residence rooms, study lounges, laundry facilities, administrative offices, social lounge and gaming room, and over 165 wireless access points.
The Pinnacle building contains; 902 cables through-out its 6 floors with 5,500 feet of single mode and multimode OM-3 backbone cabling to; 6 IDF’s and 1 MDF to support residence rooms, study lounges, laundry facilities, administrative offices, social lounge and gaming room, and over 182 wireless access points.
